Ductile cast iron, other name ductile iron, nodular cast iron, spheroidal graphite iron, spherulitic graphite cast iron and SG iron, is a type of cast iron widely used in casting parts. With its nodular graphite inclusions, ductile cast iron has much more impact and fatigue resistance, different from the most varieties of cast iron which are brittle.

Through control of the microstructure, ductile cast iron can be produced to have a wide range of properties. The most common usage of ductile cast iron is in the form of ductile iron pipe, such as the hydraulic parts, which is heavier than the polymeric materials such as PVC, HDPE, LDPE and polypropylene, but requires less careful installation and protection from physical damage. Besides, ductile cast iron is specifically suitable for making many automotive components, where strength needs surpass that of aluminum but do not necessarily surpass steel. Other major industrial applications include off-highway diesel trucks, agricultural tractors, and oil well pumps and valves.

Grey Iron Casting Plant

Gray cast iron is widely used in industry, and it has many advantages as following:

3.Good thermal conductivity, which is due to the fact that graphite is a good conductor of the heat.

5.The good fluidity. Linear shrinkage and shrinkage rate of grey iron casting is small, so casting is not easy to crack, which makes it suitable for parts with the complex structure.

Metal Casting

Casting is one of the industrial basic technology in modern mechanical manufacturing, and metal casting is a kind of common casting process. Metal casting is to melt the metal into liquid meeting certain requirements and pour it into the mold, and then after the the cooling, cleaning treatment, we can get casting parts with predetermined shape, size and performance.

For mold making, RUYI CASTING has complete in-house capabilities, including computer aided design and manufacturing systems, CNC machining centers, coordinate measuring machine and all axiliary required for accurate machining. Our company has complete casting processing and inspection system, which can complete the process of clearing core and the foreign body on the casting surface, removing the riser, and shoveling and grinding the burrs, as well as heat treatment, shaping, rust and rough machining etc..
